What is the Georgia Pet Foundation?

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in April 2016, dedicated to reducing pet overpopulation through spay/neuter programs funded by specialty license plate sales.

How much does the plate cost?

The initial cost is $45 plus applicable taxes. Annual renewal is also $45 plus applicable taxes.

Where does the money go?

$19-20 of each plate purchase goes directly to Georgia Pet Foundation to fund spay/neuter programs throughout Georgia.

Where can I get the plate?

Visit your local County Tag Office and request the Georgia Pet Foundation specialty plate. You can find your nearest office at Georgia DOR website.

Who designed the plate?

The beautiful plate design was created by renowned Southern Folk Artist Kyle “BlackCatTips” Brooks.

Can my organization apply for a grant?

Yes! Animal welfare organizations and municipal shelters that are 501(c)(3) non-profits or government agencies can apply for spay/neuter grants through our partner, Fix Georgia Pets.
